The Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach is a structured, multi-sensory method for teaching literacy. It breaks down reading and spelling into smaller, manageable skills, incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning pathways.
-
The Orton-Gillingham approach is widely recognized as an effective way for teaching individuals with dyslexia. However, since it teaches structured literacy and phonics, Blue Crane Literacy believes it is the most effective way to teach all young children.

I want to be in a group. Will Blue Crane Literacy place me in a group?
-
No. Groups work best for young friends. When booking, decide on two or three other friends of the same age, and book together. One-on-one is available too.
Will I still benefit from Blue Crane Literacy if I attend once a month?
-
No. For stuctured literacy to be effective, twice a week is minimum, three to four times a week is ideal.
